Bell 2wire 2701HG-G problems

My new internet service with Bell Canada is very shakey and it keeps turning on and off (I should've just stayed with Rogers). When I connect to my network, the wireless icon on my computer says that I'm connected but in actuality it's not and the led light on the router associated with "Internet" is not glowing or it just keeps flickering. I've tried changing wireless channels from 1-11 and rebooting the modem (though not deleting all the info on it), does anyone really know what's causing this problem since Bell's customer support sure doesn't.
