Hello,

I have a PC that when I boot, I begin receiving errors that the .exe files cannot be found (taskmgr, ieexplore, lexmark ezprint.exe, etc......). I downloaded MALWAREBYTES and ran a scan, and in the middle the PC showed a message that is was going to automatically shut down. (Serious System Error - Cannot continue due to fatal system error. Forced to restart).

Started PC again in safe mode under a different user ID. Reran MALWAREBYTES with 50+ adware errors, but also showed VUNDO trojan and WORM.ARCHIVE. Prior to fixing those errors I have run a HIJACK_THIS and I'm including the log file. Does anyone see anything specific that would cause the auto shutdown and missing files ?

I am attaching 2 MALWAREBYTES files and a HIJACK log. Thank you for your help. Note: 2nd Malwarebytes scan removed HDDDoctor Rogue Virus

PLEASE CLOSE THIS TOPIC. Problem has been resolved. Removal of infections with Malwarebyes along with installing SP2 of Vista corrected the problems.
