My name is Nicki, and I'm here because I'm trying to figure out what happened to my laptop and how to fix it. Since I don't know where to post my problem, I think I'll post it here.
I have an HP/Compaq laptop, and it was working fine earlier this morning. I left it and came back, and the shut down screen was up. When I tried to touch the touchpad, the it made a horrible beeping sound, so I held down the power button. When it restarted, I was unable to use the keyboard to type in my password and the touchpad still isn't moving. I don't know what to do. I can't log in to see the Control Panel and I can't get into Safe Mode because I can't use my arrow keys to select it. Any advice?
