Hey Max (my name is Max too, small world!)

I would stay away from the microsoft backup and use acronis. I use acronis and back it up to an external drive. Let me know if you have more problems.

It depends. If you do a partial backup you only back up what you select. If you back up the whole disk you will need 150gb on external, but I just use it for pictures and movies and music. Hope that helps, post back if you want more advice.

Hello,

I gave up from the backup, it is just too expensive  It needs much time and resources, for nothing!
I firstly thought that files will be compressed, and it is the most important reason I give up!
I really don't need it, i turned out like that!
System restore is enough for me!
I will keep copying every important file on CD and so on!

Thx for your replies :thumbup2:

With regards,
Max

You do need it, you just dont realize it now. My advice is spend the money for a 2TB ext drive and do a complete partition backup. Do a 2nd backup and add by-weekly incramental backups to that 2nd complete backup. You will be glad you did. Wish you luck.

Guess that you didn't notice...the original poster of this topic...is no longer a member.

No point in responding to topic, IMO.
