Buying a new Laptop

Anyone have any advice or input on the best brand of Laptop I should go with? Hp, Dell, Gateway, Compaq..Etc.

HP and compaq are virtually identical since HP bought Compaq out, and theyre number one on my list. They got good quality and service being the primary reasons-second choice would be a tossup between Toshiba or ASUS.

if you get a toshiba laptop you can find nice ones on newegg for 500 or little more and then frankly, if you can, whichever brand you pick, wipe it out and reload your own software, that right there will increase your performance and security etc gimme a hollar if you have questions they are all pretty good, like the patriot09 stated, name brand, i like toshiba, and italian coffee :) ltdan
