Hello,

I need some help with my Acer Extensa 4420 Laptop. I am running Windows Vista. This is a list of my start up programs, and I was wondering if I can remove any, or if I need to add any? I never use my printer and really all I do is use the Web for Surfing, games, and bills. I also use the occasional Microsoft Word Program. Thank you for your time :)

First question is the following:

What is it that you need help with

Also do the following:

Download Autoruns for Windows: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb963902.aspx

No installation required.

Simply unzip Autoruns.zip file, and double click on autoruns.exe file to run the program.

Go File>Save, and save it as AutoRuns.txt file to know location.

You must select Text from drop-down menu as a file type:

Attach the file to your next reply.

My computer is being slow and shutting off randomly after I shut the lid. The power setting for lid closure is set to hibernate, but when I open it up it is starts up with the prompt to start in safe mode.
