G'day...this morning i hear the unmistakable sound of a USB device being plugged in..taken out....plugged in....taken out......da dum....da dee..(apologies for the musical analogy, but i just know it will ring a bell with some of you !!) I go to device manager I open IEEE1284.4 compatible printers , and IEEE1284.4 Devices and as you can see from the attached screen shot, the printer is seen in compatible printers twice,...devices, Once......and then again in imaging devices. question:: is this the reason i am hearing 'the sound'.......or is there another cause ? ps...had a little trouble attaching the screenshot...hopefully it works this time!
Used 30.66K of your 512K global upload quota (Max. single file size: 481.34K).......so hopefully the attachment is there....I am not confident !

ok....apparently a screen shot of device manager is too big a file.....it exceeds the 500 k quota........hopefully my description will suffice.
photosmart 3300 is listed TWICE in IEEE1284.4, Compatible Printers
and again photosmart 3300 is listed Once in IEEE1284.4, Devices
and again photosmart 3300 is listed once in Imaging Devices (as photosmart 3300....no mention of IEEE1284.4 here)
