Hi everyone,

I am new to this site and hope someone can help me... I am getting the following error messages when I boot my computer: c:\windows\inf\other.exe

The desktop then freezes and all I cando is move my cursor around, but that's about it. If I click on the internet before the error message pops up, it attempts to load but to no avail.

Any assistance that you can provide would be great. I am happy to provide a HJT report if that helps....

Thanks in advance and happy holidays!

Hello Everyone,

Everytime I boot my computer, I get error messages that the following program cannot be found or located on the registry: c:\windows\inf\other.exe

I looked into the C drive in safe mode and selevted view all hidden folders...and cannot find that program anywhere.

Anyone have any idea what is causing this error message? I cannot use my computer when it is booted in normal windows xp mode...only in safe mode with networking, which is what I am using now. Please provide assistance... I already used ATF Cleaner, and SysClean. Sysclean took forever, but found nothing... I am willing to do it again, since I had the internet running while I did the scan...(does that make a difference?)

I also did a Housecall scan with Microtrends and no infections were found.

What is going on??? Anyone willing to read my HIJACK log and provide assistance?

After scanning, HJT makes a huge checklist of items that I can select to "fix". I don't know which to select, so your guidance would be great.

Please advise...thanks so much!

Best Wishes,
