Hi forum readers,
I am looking for a Download Manager which I can store the Downloaded Data into my USB and plug it into another computer so that I can resume the paused download data into that computer.
So far the Download Manager that can do that is "Orbit Downloader".

Thanks a lot.

Hello,

Try this

For downloads, if you want to resume download later, important thing is does the server from which you download supports resumption!
Not all servers supports this!

Hope this help?

Regards,
Max

I know it's a Download Manager, but what I'm looking for is it can import broken downloads.
Example:
I am in my house downloading a 2GB file, and I paused the download. I want to resume it again on another computer(not in my house, but somewhere, like in the office). I have a usb that is capable of storing it. I want to put the downloaded files there and resume the unfinished task.

Hope you understand :)

I think it's can't be done?
Maybe some portable version could do that?

I'm downloading Windows 7 Home Premium. It's a large file and it'll take me months to download(my internet connection is slow, and I want to go to our own computer shop because the speed there is huge).

Here are the two image links of how Orbit Downloader can import and resume broken downloads even on another pc:

Link 2

Thanks.

Or try flashget portable, if the server supports resumption!
Also you must care about of download path on another computer, your USB Flash must be named the same at other computer!

Hope this helps???

Max

I am looking for alternatives to Orbit, and it seems that Flashget is my only option. But I'm curious, because it is bundled with spyware (see here)

Anyways, thanks a lot for your help!

Hi,

I didn't know that FlashGet contains malware, so don't use it!
Use Orbit, if it helps you!

You're welcome :)

Max
