When my monitor comes on now it has a pencil thin red vertical line from the top to the bottom of the screen. Just started Ive had computer and monitor for about 1yr. It is Dell 19" Lcd using the dell driver I downloaded. Computer is XP Home. Ive tried different display settings it still remains on.

Hi helpless50,

Just to be sure it isnt something coming from your video card/system, try connecting a regular display to your computer and see if the line still exists. You can also connect your lcd to another computer. I have a bad feeling that you are seeing a defect in the electronics of the display. I would think Dell would have a 3 years warranty on that type of display. Give them a call, or verify warranty info online.

Good luck,

Rigel
