Whenever I close my laptop then reopen it later it gets stuck at the hibernating screen (instead of standby). The only way to restart is by removing the battery and starting the computer up again. What is causing this problem? If it makes a difference it's only really been happening since around the time I got infected with spyware last week.

Go to the Control Panel and look in Power Options to see if your setting have been changed.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

It says it set on hibernating in 3 hours with batteries and never while plugged in...like I said though it'll do this if I close then open my laptop less than five minutes later. I will change both to never though. Thank you for the help
