I need a bit of advice.
I have been asked to try to setup a live stream of information to a hdtv from a laptop. The laptop will be linked via either hdmi or dvi as audio is not important. It is for an indoor bowls club who wants to show on the tv live scores of 20 odd matches being played at once. It will resemble a knockout style text screen with names etc that can be updated live.
I need to know of a program that I can do that with. Someone said powerpoint will do it but I don`t want to show the insert windows on the tv that I see in the powerpoint entering screen. Is there any other program that may do this maybe like a tic-a tape style interface with basic graphics?
Any direction appreciated.

Thanks Jacee but the output or information will go to a big screen HDTV in a central recreation area so waiting players of bowls can see live scores etc. I can do this now but not a live feed. I have to type the info in on the laptop and then transfer onto the tv or I can tpye in real time but the audienec then sees the gui that I am using with all the menu ribbons etc. (Powerpoint 2007)
I am not sure really how else to explain it but I know there must be a professional way of doing it.
