Greetings!

I am planning to buy another RAM stick for my pc. I currently have 1gb 667mhz ddr2 RAM. I only saw 2gb 800mhz ddr2 RAM on the shop. I wanna know if my motherboard supports it and which spec of the motherboard do i check to know this. Also I would like to know If i should install both the 1gb and the 2gb together or just the 2gb and sell the 1gb.
My Motherboard is P5VD2-VM Se.

Thank you in advance.

4GB max, 2 slots, DDR2 667 :).

Louis

Whether you install the 2 plus the 1...entirely up to you. I would just buy 2 2GB modules and install those, somewhat better performance from the RAM.

In theory, they will work, they will just downclock to 667 mhz instead of running at the full 800. Be warned though-on occasion they will cause issues like BSODs and such, but its rare and it should work. If your hesitant, and dont mind ordering online and want to know 100% that that it will work I would recomend going to the crucial website like luis suggested-the memory he linked to will work garenteed with your system, Id compare the price and go with whats cheapest
