I recently used Bleeping Computer to recover (somewhat) from a virus. I say somewhat because it appears when I launch my system still launches a number of questionable processes, ( processes called taskmgr.exe*32, user.exe*32, hexdump.exe*32, each of which are running multiple instances. Rkill gets rid of them but they always come back)... but the major symptoms are gone.

With the exception of one. My hidden folders used to be visible, now they're hidden again, and when I go to control panel to re-expose them (following the instructions here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-see-hidden-files-in-windows-vista/) the options to show hidden folders aren't there. Under classic mode there are no folder options. Under Home View / Personalization there are no folder options.

Any ideas how I can get rid of this virus for ever, AND show my hidden files again?
