ISP provider changed

A client changed her service provider to wildblue, and can't access the internet now. It will black screen when she tries? Anyone able to help? She can't get into the control panel to remove the old provider either, might there be another problem I am missing?

Who was the old provider and did they/she use an install kit to set it up? What happens if you start in safemode without networking to remove the old connection?

The old provider was Earthlink, they did not use a kit. The computer error "System files are corrupt" keeps coming up, then a black screen.

I'm assuming this is an XP OS. If so I would follow this guide: How to use the Scannow SFC tool in Windows XP

It ends up I could use the Compaq Recovery tool to fix this problem, the client is running XP sp2, should I update to sp3? Thanks.

I would get the new ISP connection working before upgrading to SP3. Glad you were able to use the Recovery Tool.
