google redirect/explorer hijack resolution

I wanted to post this where I was following the link but the thread is now locked...

I got the 5302 database update for malware & ran it & it found two problem .dlls that were pointed to in the registry, advcache.dll & mapires.dll, both in a local/temp directory. After these were fixed, I had no more "problems" although I had some iffy things that rebooting again seemed to take care of.

Wanted to post my experience to the thread I was following for relevance... not sure why it's locked now.

Can you post the logs for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware?
