Hi. I found this site via google by typing in Virus:Win/32/Alureon.H .

I realized I had this virus because my uncle told me that one of the computers in the house has a Bot.

Even though I have Norton Security Suite, I don't think it detected this virus.

So I ran Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal tool, and it said I had this virus and that it was partially removed, to then run a security scan with an anit-malware product to fully remove it.

I don't think it is removed.

My computer's symptoms are, slow, redirected to random sites when I click on google links, popups saying I won something or I am 10000000 visitor to whatever site, and work from home ads.

Please Help. I have an acer netbook and it has Windows XP on it.

I have no idea how to remove it.

I followed the directions in the other forum on this site regarding this specific virus
It told me to run RKILL and then run ComboFix
but the ComboFix, when I downloaded it, kept saying it is a corrupt file of combofix.

Please help me asap

Thank you very much.
