My computer recently got an infection, there are tons of popups for anti-spyware and anti-virus software that they want me to buy, i'm smarter than to buy the programs they offer.

I have tried removing programs i thought may have infected my computer, the infection won't let me have any access to the internet except my secured sites such as my bank. I couldn't open any programs, including programs in the control panel to even try and remove programs.

I am considering restoring my computer but don't want to go through backing up all my programs (Which i don't know where to start with that either).

I would like to know what program is reccomended to fight this infection and how i can put that program on a disk.

I'm not very computer savvy, so please, any responses in english-related language with a lot of explination would be appreciated. I'm just looking for some helpful advice and guidance/direction.
