Hello folks,
My XP Pro laptop has acquired a malware problem called Security Shield. I was hoping Bleepingcomputer had a fix. I downloaded Rkill.com to another computer to save it on a cd. I tried to download it on the laptop but Security Shield kept blocking it. Pretty nasty. Then it kept popping up windows when I tried to do anything else.
My question is: What is the location of the Rkill.com file om my good , unaffected computer, so I can save it to my cd? I looked in my Programs folder but it wasn't there.
Any advice on this nasty bug will be appreciated.

Edit: Moved topic from XP to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Hi :).

See if you can follow Security Shield Removal Guide, BC

There is no way that anyone not at your computer...can determine your designated download locations. It's easy enough to download the file, following the instructions in the link above.
