I installed the new 320GB hard drive today. Got everything back together, put the computer back where it belongs, turned it on. I then installed the operating system disk, got a little more that 1/2 way thru and it's been running in "installing windows " for about a little more than 3 hours. Is it supposed to be this darn slow? I went from a 40GB to a 320GB. Checked with the geek squad before i left the store, followed all the directions to the letter. The system is still running on "installing windows" as it has been. I know the system is still running as the blinking lights on the screen are still present. Also it tells me that it will be finished in 34 minutes. That was at about 3:30 pm. The disk is still running. Do i continue to wait? Please advise.

There is an XP service pack 3 ISO download here that could make it easier than going from sp1 to 3.
