So I downloaded the paid version of AVG 2011 and presumably the update as well, and intalled it to three computers. There's been a lot of talk about how the update renders Windows 7 systems unable to boot due to a boot loop - but I run (1) Windows XP Pro at work and (2) Windows Xp Home at home and both computers ended up the with same problem. After trying AVG's "fix" on my home computer I ended up doing a clean install, since the repair install did not work - but in the case of my office computer I will try again this weekend to avoid having to reinstall all my programs after a clean install.

My question, though, involves my wife's laptop (running XP Pro). I decided to uninstall AVG 11 from her laptop to avoid the same problems above, I was able to uninstall it but now cannot connect to the internet. This doesn't seem as complicated as the problems described above with my computers, but it's still a nuisance as she's in grad school and trying to finish her semester. Please help!

Best,

Steve
