Hi,
I was syncing my phone to my laptop, got a message in the middle of that, it said there were updates for windows media player so I agreed to update. The computer froze so I unplugged the phone and turned it off. now all I'm getting is a blue screen with no windows. I can go into safe mode and I can run task manager. Any ideas??

I would try running the chkdsk /r command from safe mode.

Start/Run...type chkdsk /r and hit Enter. Type Y in new screen and hit Enter. Reboot the system.

We tried your suggestion with no luck. My hubby says I have worded my entry wrong. It's not a blue screen, it is a blue wallpaper covering all my desktop items.

I would uninstall the phone from Device Manager, in safe mode.

What version of Windows Media Player is installed?

Louis
