Registered a few days ago. It looks like you are really busy. I'm planning on working my way through the steps you suggest before posting a HJT Log. Should I run these various programmes with the internet disconnected? Should I go into safe mode before I run them? Thanks.

Running them for the first time in Safe Mode, is a good idea.
You shouldn't have internet access in Safe Mode.

Just make sure to update them with the newest definitions, before going to Safe Mode.
