Hi: My computer has been running very slow. Just yesterday, I was not able to access the Internet at all. When I use the browser (Internet Explorer), my homepage comes up, then it keeps saying it cannot continue to restore it and freezes my screen. It will stop trying to restore it to keep it from 'looping.' The only way to unfreeze is to control, alt, delete and use the Task Manager. If I am lucky enough, I can try to get into 'google' and then to another site as I am doing now. I was able to get to my email (yahoo) this way also, but not everytime. Yesterday, after many tries, I was able to run Malewayre and did remove about 305 infections. The computer ran slightly better after that; however, the same thing happend again today when I tried to access the Internet.

Also, if the screen doesn't freeze, it will blend or smear what is on the screen together.

This is the 2nd time I've had problems. I also had problems back in Jan/Feb. As I'm sure there is new versions of all the programs I used earlier, I'll wait for direction on what to do. These are the specs for my computer. I am running XP.

I hope someone can help me again. This time, I would like to clean everything off.... no internet games at all.
Okay, if you need more info from me, I'm not sure if I'll be able to access this computer. I can be reached through my email every evening. I'll look forward to hearing from someone soon.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Sincerely,
cherp
