I'm having a hard time finding a program that will back up selectively or an entire disk. It has to be able to copy a hdd with vista, windows 7, installs, etc.. I really want a tool that doesn't require me to restart my machine or have an exact same size or larger hard disk. To dedicate it. I want a prog that i can slap someone's hard disk in my computer and make an image copy of it that goes in a file I can move around anywhere i want, when i'm ready to restore i can put the hdd back in and tell it to write that image, similar to how you can make iso files from cd/dvds and store them on your hard disk.

does such a program exist?

Edit: Moved topic from Tutorials to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal
