yes i am. my dvd player on the computer will play reg dvd, but not blu ray even though it is supposed to play blu ray

what's the name of the (DVD/CD drive) manufacturer? Model#? More info would help. :)

it is a atapi bd b scsi cd rom devive-this is the only info in the device manager. it is the only info i have. sorry

If the drive plays all other kind of disks, IMHO, it's a hardware problem. Most likely, blue ray laser being out.
