Trace IP address through Facebook?

Is it possible to trace IP address of someone who messages/instant messages me on Facebook? Is there any way at all to do this?

Not from a user standpoint. Facebook can log/trace IPs if something "legally" ever came up. But they won't tell you someone's IP without a court order.
