I recently caught a virus, and thought I had removed it successfully myself, however when I booted up today I found that there was something trying to run one of the .dll's I deleted when attempting to get rid of this virus. Specifically, the error message is: "RunDLL Error loading C:\users\collin\AppData\Local\itokovik.dll The specified module could not be found." Something is also accessing several oddly named files in my Temp folder, that reappear no matter how many times they're deleted.

This malware no longer shows any visible symptoms, but there's still a startup program somewhere trying to access the rest of the files. It's not in the registry, and I can't find it using Windows Defender or WinPatrol. I'm hoping BleepingComputer can help me find and remove it.

Running Vista Home Premium 64 bit, so as per instructions no GMER log, though the DDS one is below.

EDIT: Found something in /system32/drivers:
103C_HP_CNB_HDX16 NOTEBOOK PC_Y5335KV_0U_QCNF9283T82_E516906-001_4A_I361B_SQUANTA_V15.29_F.24_T090616_WV3-1_L409_M4063_J500_7INTEL_867A_92.53_#090707_N10EC8168;80864237_(NK135AV)_XMOBILE_CN10_Z_2REV 1_G10DE0652.MRK

Oddest file name I've ever seen, and I doubt it has anything positive to do, but I wanted to post it before just deleting something critical.

More edits: Looking through my own HJT log to see if I could find anything else.
DCEBoot64.exe looks suspicious to me, I have no idea what that is. Especially when I went digging inside /windows/ and found some very odd text files. I attached most them to the bottom just in case they're useful, but two of them are 500KB each and beyond the upload limit.

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. Please note that your topic was not intentionally overlooked. Our mission is to help everyone in need, but sometimes it takes just a little longer to get to every request for help. No one is ignored here.

If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, we would appreciate you letting us know. If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine.

If you have not done so, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

Upon completing the steps below another staff member will review and take the steps necessary with you to get your machine back in working order clean and free of malware.

If you have already posted a DDS log, please do so again, as your situation may have changed.
Use the 'Add Reply' and add the new log to this thread.

Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

Information on A/V control HERE

We also need a new log from the GMER anti-rootkit scanner. Please first disable any CD emulation programs using the steps found in this topic:

Why we request you disable CD Emulation when receiving Malware Removal Advice

Then create another GMER log and post it as an attachment to the reply where you post your new DDS log. Instructions on how to properly create a GMER log can be found here:

How to create a GMER log

Casey

If I have been helping you and I do not reply within 48hours, feel free to send me a PM.
