I have a Toshiba Equium L300-146 and installed a new hard drive on which I installed Windows 7. I then used True Image to create an image and restored to that image just to test it. However, when it had finished restoring and rebooted, I got a message saying bootmgr was missing. I tried booting to the Windows 7 CD but only get the same missing bootmgr message. The same when I try to boot to the True Image CD. I then created a WipeDrive CD hoping to wipe the drive clean and reinstall Windows 7 but nothing works. All I ever get is the missing bootmgr message. Can anyone help me overcome this problem.

Thanks but I'm not sure how this can help me. Before I can clone a disc it seems to me that I first need to be able to boot my laptop which I can't.

If you're getting that error while booting from the CD, then you may have some hardware issue.

It's OK now folks. I just discovered that booting the laptop with the Windows 7 CD while clicking on C caused it to boot up and I was able to use the CD to repair the Start up problem. Thank you to those who tried to help.
