Purchased a new Netgear N600 router & can connect this laptop both wired & wireless but cannot connect my kids laptops wirelessly unless I set network to Open. As soon as I add security settings both laptops show local connection only. I've done the following to try to resolve:
1.Reset both cable modem & router
2.updated network adapter drivers
3.Disabled firewall
4.Deleted router & network settings & reinstalled

Any help would be greatly appreciated-there's no way I'm going to run the network unsecured
Thanks!

Finally figured it out on my own-Posting solution in case any one else needs it. Dual band router, kids wireless adapters are older can't run w/wireless N. I set 2.4 ghz to WEP security & they connect fine-kept 5 ghz @ WPA2 & my laptop connects to that band.

Glad to hear you solved the problem and was nice enough to come back and post your solution.

Have fun.

Kind regards.
