Whenever I insert a DVD into my drive, my computer freezes until I eject the DVD. I've read about people having this problem and having to set the rom to master, I did that but it changed nothing, My hard drives are SATA and the ROM is not, I'm not sure what the problem is ? the model is Pioneer DVR-110D

(Someone with the same problem http://www.computing.net/answers/hardware/dvdrw-drive-freezing-explorer/40563.html)

I don't think the lens being dirty would cause explore to freeze, I just booted windows from the drive 2 days ago without a problem, but once I get into windows it freezes my explore and I can't do anything
