I just turned on my laptop for the first time in a couple days and my AVG resident shield keeps popping up saying Virus found WIN32/Patched in C:\Windows\explorer.exe and C"\windows\system32\winlogon.exe. I am afraid to touch either file because I don't want to completely kill my computer. Hopefully someone can help me with this problem.

I ran a full scan with AVG but it says it can't remove the files because they are whitelisted and system critical. Also, I'm not sure if it's related, but I also noticed that all of my google search results are being redirected and I can't access any pages through a google search
