http://www.mozilla.com/

They get a new website and we get a new more update version! :flowers: :trumpet:

According to my TickerFox the average for people downloading Firefox went from about 3 downloads / per second to about 8 downloads per second, peaking about 15 downloads/second

EDIT1:Current total: 113,510,506

EDIT2:*note the total is not since the 1.5 release it is since the 1.0 release.

EDIT3: I predict that around Janaury 18 Firefox will reach 200 million downloads. Currently its pacing about 100 downloads per 5 seconds.

Several extensions that aren't officially working with 1.5 work if you just reinstall them manually. Others got an enhanced or plus versions that works (i.e. Adblock Plus).

EDIT: you also need to go to the extension manager and click Find Updates for it to find updates for some extensions.

You can still have them, however there are the rare ocassions where you might lose them. So I would back them up first then uninstall and install new version. Just to be safe.

EDIT: Currently 114,664,268 downloads. :flowers:

A file named bookmarks.html. Where it is depends on what OS your running. Copy it somewhere else where you will find it later, in case you need it.

splackavellie,
The bookmarks.html file is in your Profile folder.

The Profile folder is a hidden folder.
Set windows to show hidden files,
How to see hidden files in Windows

bookmarks.html is located here:
C:\ Documents and Settings \ your user name \ Application Data \ Mozilla \ Firefox \ Profiles \ default.7dp \ Bookmark.html
Just copy this file to your desktop, in case you lose it in the update to Firefox 1.5

Eh. my prediction is defintely wrong for the 200 million download mark.

It has slowed down over the past few weeks. Now it gets about 100 downlaods every 17 seconds.

Current count: 124,748,238
