My desktop has crashed after many years of struggling. I'd like to try to pull as much off the hard drive as I can, but I don't know why type of external enclosure to buy.

I have a Dell Dimension E510. Hard drive: (part #655GH)Hard Disk Drive, 20G, Internal, F3, 1N, No Controller, 5.4K, MXT-PR

Thanks.

Hi,

Well if you only need to pull off the data that may still be on there then I would recommend this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812232002 instead of an enclosure plus it costs less and will do what you need it to. :)
