help with my IBM t60p

I have a ibm t60p laptop that i bought {refurbished} on ebay. i haven,t been able to turn the sound on.I have talked to other people and tried everything i know to turn it on but no luck. I,ve even tried headphones, but still no sound. any help will be appreciated.

Look in the Device Manager and see if there are any errors under Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Errors will either appear as a red X, or a yellow exclamation mark.

So that we don't repeat suggestion for what you have already tried, please tell us specifically what you have tried so far.

What operating system are you using?

went to device manager, didn,t see any problem there. i,m running XP
