My HP Pavilion dv6500 does not go past the HP logo and the screen eventually goes blank. Does someone know where I can download a restore disk or boot disk if that is what I need. I tried F8 to boot in safe mode but the screen just went blank. The computer was given to me without any of the disks. Any help would be great. Thank you very much.

What operating system and version (Home or Pro) are you using?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Do you know anyone that has a retail copy of the Vista Home Premium CD that you could borrow?

You will need to make sure that if your operating system is a 32-bit or 64-bit the installation disk will have to be the same.
