Morning guys,I used a Gigaware transfer cable to move files and two windows programs "Excel&Word", from an XP machine to windows 7 machine. The cable could not move Quicken and a check writing program, why I don't know? Now, I have the Quicken and the other program on a USB 4 gig stick and they still won't load on the new 7 machine?? Help! thanks,Alan 7 says the file extentions are not proper, can that be fixed? I did run the program compatibility wizard, maybe I didn't do that right? I've only used 7 twice so far.

Are XP and W7 both 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems?

Have you downloaded XP Compatibility Mode for W7?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

There are some 32-bit programs that will run in the 64-bit operating system, and some that won't. You will need to Google for the compatibility.
