Hi,

* Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • In case you already used MBAM previously, please update it before proceeding with the scan. To do this, click the "Update" tab and click the "Check For updates" button.
  • Once the program has loaded and updates were downloaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediatly.

Also do the following AFTER you have done above and rebooted:

Please download DDS and save it to your desktop.
  • Disable any script blocking protection
  • Double click dds.scr to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS.txt will open.
  • Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.
  • Save both reports to your desktop.
---------------------------------------------------

Copy and paste the contents of DDS.txt in your next reply. Do not copy and paste the contents of Attach.txt, but attach it to your reply instead.

Hi,

It looks like your Firefox is the only browser still affected with it.
This file is the cause:

c:\program files\mozilla firefox\extensions\{ee079118-5461-3698-5c41-3c5bdd182440}\components\9f9c630b-2e4a-fdc3-1eee-541a1208ee39.dll

I would like to have a sample of this file, so, Go to this page.
Enter the url of this thread in the first field.
Where it says, browse to the file that you want to submit, click the browse button next to it and browse to next file:

c:\program files\mozilla firefox\extensions\{ee079118-5461-3698-5c41-3c5bdd182440}\components\9f9c630b-2e4a-fdc3-1eee-541a1208ee39.dll

Select it and click ok:
Then click the Send File button below.

Once you have uploaded the file for me, please delete the folder: c:\program files\mozilla firefox\extensions\{ee079118-5461-3698-5c41-3c5bdd182440}
Make sure you don't delete any similar folders in there, because they all look the same (with a GUID as name). It has to be the folder with that exact name, because that's where the 9f9c630b-2e4a-fdc3-1eee-541a1208ee39.dll is present in its components subfolder.
Please close your firefox when you delete that folder, otherwise you won't be able to delete.

There's an extra folder that looks suspicious there as well, because it's a hidden extension. (XULRunner)
So, I want to investigate that one as well first.
The folder is located here: c:\documents and settings\sonny\local settings\application data\{84595C4E-F066-420D-B7D2-12B1E0F8576D} <== folder.
Can you zip that folder and also upload it for me? To zip that folder, rightclick that {84595C4E-F066-420D-B7D2-12B1E0F8576D} folder and select to copy to zipped folder. Then upload that zipped folder for me.
I am 90% sure that folder is malicious as well though, so you can delete it afterwards as well. After all, since you will have it zipped for me, *in* case the folder is legit after all (which I don't think is the case here), you can unzip that folder again and place it back, or I can re-send it to you (since you will have it uploaded for me anyway).

Please let me know in your next reply, once you have uploaded that file: 9f9c630b-2e4a-fdc3-1eee-541a1208ee39.dll and the zipped folder {84595C4E-F066-420D-B7D2-12B1E0F8576D}

Thanks for the files.

Have you also deleted them afterwards? The two folders?

c:\documents and settings\sonny\local settings\application data\{84595C4E-F066-420D-B7D2-12B1E0F8576D}
c:\program files\mozilla firefox\extensions\{ee079118-5461-3698-5c41-3c5bdd182440}

Let me know in your next reply how things are now.

Glad I could help. :)

Please read my Prevention page with lots of info and tips how to prevent this in the future.
And if you want to improve speed/system performance after malware removal, take a look here.
Extra note: Make sure your programs are up to date - because older versions may contain Security Leaks. To find out what programs need to be updated, please run the Secunia Software Inspector Scan.

Happy Surfing again!
