I have a 2005 HP Media Center Edition; Windows XP; and I boosted the RAM to 4GB's; it has a dual core processor...2.66HZ...2.67 respectively. If I leave open programs such as Office2010 or anything longer than 20-30 min. the computer automatically shuts them down. As a college student who does extra writing; I want all my programs to stay open all day until I decide to close them. Is there a way to extend the time or delete whatever is doing this? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

thanks, Steve
