My dad was browsing today and got infected with a rogue disk defragmenter. It's process is a bunch of numbers, I didn't write them down, but just ended it. MSE popped up with a realtime protection warning saying that it was infected and is cleaning it. It is still there, and startable. I am now running a scan with Malware Bytes and have disconnected it from the internet. Please help!!

UPDATE: After a google search I found a reliable removal guide on none other than BC. Thanks again! I'll edit this thread if I have further problems with this virus.

Good to see that you found an applicable removal guide on BC.

The MBAM log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM. Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply. Be sure to post the complete log to include the top portion which shows MBAM's database version and your operating system.

Please post the log and let us know how the system is running now.

Edit: Please use "Add Reply" when posting new information, in preference to editing a previous post.
Thank you.
