Hello! Although I have gained much useful information as a guest on this site, I've come up against a problem that needs more personal attention. Watch the virus forum for more!

I provide computer support in a small department at a large university. My responsibilities include a student computer lab, staff computers, faculty office and research lab computers. I also administer a Novell Netware server and Windows 2003 server, with web, print and license servers installed. For all these systems, I do hardware, operating system, and applications - installations, updates, trouble-shooting and repair. You could call me a jack of all trades - but we all know the rest of that description! I've never had any formal training, except for a class here and there, lots of manuals and the ever-invaluable internet.

I'm also a family history buff. "Gazaway" was my grandfather's middle name, my great-great grandfather's given name, and I suspect it will turn out to be a family surname somewhere farther back. I chose it as a pseudonym in honor of my ancestors. (Besides, it's pretty unique!)

The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
