Hi all, I have a dell dimension 3000, windows xp sp3. I put a hidden partition on it. to access it i would right click my computer,
click manage, disk management, it would show up and i click on it and click change drive letter. Worked for a long time, then i lost it for a while, whenever i would go to disk management, it wasnt there to put back. Then one day , it was back and i could access it again for a couple months, and now i have lost it again. The rest of the drive works fine, no other issues.
Any ideas how i can get it back??
thanks.

All partitions should be reflected in both Windows Disk Management function...and any worthy partition manager.

Try EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition freeware. - http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm .

Hi and thanks, yes i have easus, and checked through there, and it shows up as unallocated space. So i cant assign a drive letter and get my files back.
then i opened computer management and now it shows up there as unallocated space too.
See its unallocated, so i cant even run a program to look for files.
Any ideas??
thanks.

Unallocated space appears only when there is no partition.

Hidden partitions should still be visible via the two methods I spoke about, AFAIK. Hiding a partition only prevents it from showing in My Computer. To be seen in My Computer, a partition must have a drive letter assigned.

If I'm in error, someone will correct me :).
