I started having this problem a few days ago. I noticed that when I searched a subject in Google search and clicked on it, my Firefox browser said redirecting in the upper left area and would then take me to Metacafe. The video started with a 15 second commercial and then allow me to see the video. I have search my computer files and no files come up with the word Metacafe. I really don't like being redirected to watch someones stupid commercial. Any ideas on how to get rid of it. I have read about this problem with other people and have tried the suggestions like "go to your add/remove programs" etc. but it's not there. I just downloaded MalwareBytes removal system and did a scan. It found 4 infected registry keys, 1 infected memory module and 1 infected file. It successfully removed those but I still have the problem
I have never heard of Metacafe until a few days ago.
Hope someone has an answer.

Everything that I see indicates that this is legit website you mention, with no mention of redirects that I can see.

I would take a look at the browser add-ons installed.

What version of Windows?
