So i just recently found out that I have this on my machine. I used Malwarebytes to get rid of it... I have scanned a few times... restarted and scanned more. It seems to be all gone... but from what I am told it can hide itself?

-what I am worried about is if it is still on my machine. I have unplugged it from the network to be safe. I have no idea where it came from... or how I got it. It basically showed up after I downloaded a bunch of stuff for my school... so i could connect to the vpn network. Do I need to reformat my computer? would it be smart to buy a new hardrive? I am really worried about my identity being stolen. Please help.

-Also is it even safe from me to be on the computer connected to the internet?
