For several months now yahoo mail has become so annoying I'm ready to ditch the account.
On top of the mail page is a constantly updating something.
The words are "Trending:" followed by names I do not know.

It makes my computer very busy, and often the screen jumps in a way that it's difficult to click on a delete checkmark or even a received message.

I do not do any sharing on yahoo. I don't link to facebook, tweeter or any such.
Just plain old mail.

So has yahoo site been infected with something?

More important - how to get rid of this pest?

No they have not been infected and worse: Currently there is no option to turn off the "Trending Now" feature."

Thank you fuzzy cat Animal :)

That's really BAD NEWS!
Any idea what it is doing? Is there any use of it to me? or worse, to someone else?

I already block some related site webcs... that wanted me to chat. I don't want to chat.
I wonder if I should block animations on the yahoo site.

I see now what it is doing, I never really stopped to look at the top of the page instead of concentrating or work/project.

Yahoo is loading and unloading all kinds of product advertisments we can buy or services, health programs, yada yada.

And understand better wassup wit dat - you can buy upgraded email without all these annoyances.

My compliments to Yahoo, they did an excellent job of making their email annoying.
