Hi There, First time using the forum and after a quick search i cannot seem to find anything relating to my specific malware.

I initially had ThinkPoint (fake anti virus programme) and managed to clear it, however the system started to crash as generic system process win32..... stopped networking. After a lot of searching I found the fix for this on Microsoft's website.

However, when I restarted after loading the windos update, a new fake anti virus programme came up which is causing me a few problems. I know I need to stop the process of the .exe, but there seems to be two programmes running.

The Anti Virus is called Scan Disk and is the one I can stop the process of easily. The problem comes at the bottom right hand corner and Windows Security Alert. Its a red circle with a black x through it. I cant end this process and then run Malware Bytes.

After more searching I came across Rkill, even running that does not seem to stop it. Is this effective anymore?

What other options do I have to stop this process and remove both sets of maleware?

Thanks

David
