I recently dumped Windows XP hoping to speed up my PC with a clean Windows 7. Everything worked fine untill Norton informed me that I had picked up the Alemod Trojan and that it would have to be removed manually. It took hours of research on the internet to get understandable instructions. That's when I discovered "bleepingcomputer" and combofix. Everything went well and I no longer have the trojan; however, now my Windows 7 PC runs as slow as the old XP version. Hopefully, I'll get that worked out with some coaching on bleepingcomputer.
