So I am running windows 7 64 bit, and have an incredible amount of viruses that is slowing it down. With a wireless connection with turbo speed and 8gb of ram and a dedicated memory stick and a bunch of other nice customized specs (I didn't build this computer, my friend did, I am not fluent at all unfortunately...hence being here), my computer should be running fine. But it's speed, especially on the internet is dwindling, as well as other sometimes random programs and windows closing automatically. I am sick and tired of it, I tried to download multiple anti virus softwares, including Combo Fix, but apparently it does not work for my operating system.

I also have AVG but it doesn't do ANYTHING.

Please help!

Hello first of all you should not even run ComboFix on your own ,see the author's disclaimer. I am not yelling at you but advising.. That said 64 bit has a lot of tool limitationns. CFix is not magde to run on it.

You will need to post a DDS log to clean this machine.

Please go here....
Preparation Guide ,do steps 6 - 9.

Create a DDS log and post it in the new topic explained in step 9,which is here Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs and not in this topic, thanks.
If Gmer won't run,may not on the 64,skip it and move on.
Let me know if that went well.
