Hi can anyone help me? I have lost the sound on the pc. it is running xp and it got affected by spyware after i got it removed i noticed i had no sound. Im a complete computer novice. so if you can help can you make the instructions as simple as possible. Thanks in advance

The easy way (my way :thumbsup: ) is to delete it from the Device Manager in System Prperties, reboot and let XP prompt you to reinstall.

ok that sounds ok with me i can try it. But im a complete novice so how do i do this Device Manager thing? :thumbsup:

This is how to get to the device manager. Right click on My Computer. Select Properties and left click. Click on the tab "Hardware". you will see the different devices. Left click once to select the device then click the remove buttom.
Reboot the computer. If you have the disk have it handy.
