Currently having problems with Windows explorer has stopped working.

As of the moment I have had around 3 to 3 errors and I did was just to restart the program. After restart it went well again. I went to the event viewer and found out some data. Here it is for your perusal.

I did not add any new software but will soon upgrade to Sandboxie 3.5 from 3.48 and to use Online Armor Premium 4.5. Might also change security apps and include Prevx with Avast free ver5 but not yet. Currently using Avira Premium ver10, Mbam Pro, HitmanPro(on-demand) Outpost Pro ver7.

I do not know what to do to be free from this error. Not quite knowledgable in the tweaks for Windows 7 also as I am a new user.

Can someone help me here....thanks very much!

mfc80u.dll is a part of MS Visual Studio and normally it shouldn't have anything to do with Windows Explorer functions.
The file is used by various Microsoft applications, such as Visual C++, Microsoft C/C++, Visual C++.Net etc.

If Visual Studio is installed, the file should reside in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\Tools\Bin folder.
See, if you have any Visual Studio listed in Program Files.

@Broni,

Thanks for the reply.

No I do not have Visual Studio in the Program Files folder. Please see attached image.

What will I check next or is there something further? Thanks!

You can try downloads suggested by cps68500. It won't hurt anything.
If that won't solve the problem, we'll play with the above files.
